Senior citizens soon will get free comprehensive physicals when they enter the federal program. And they'll be getting free blood screenings to detect diabetes and cardiovascular problems.

With Congress on a break, Rep. Eric I. Cantor spent the past couple of days talking to local senior citizens and doctors about the complicated and controversial changes in Medicare that were signed into law last year by President Bush.

Ruth Pitzer, part of the attentive audience, said the presentation was "marvelous. They really covered more than I expected. To me, it sounds good."

Look at how much more of other people's money my RINO has got me!

Senior citizens soon will get free comprehensive physicals when they enter the federal program.

Free? Free for who? That statement doesn't jive with this:

Estimates peg the 10-year cost around $530 billion.

I heard $540. Of course it was $400 billion when Cantor did his usual rubber rubber stamp of Bush's new entitlement. I don't see anything in the article about Cantor explaining that.

It ain't voluntary for those who are going to pay for it.

The media with the help of some on the right made sure that no one knows what is really in the bill.

Perhaps a mailing with their social security checks would be in order.

After all, it behooves the left to ignore the fact of medical savings accounts and potentially life saving benefits to the bill.
