The requirement for Florida is that Independent candidates signitures are not required, no wonder McAWFUL was pissed, Nader can easily make the ballot in several of these states. Here are some critical states that it should be easy for FREEPERS to help Ralph get on the ballot
Louisiana No signiture requirement pay $500 Fee Tennessee 275 Valid Signitures Arkansas 1,000 Valid Signitures Iowa 1,500 Valid Signitures in 10 Counties Wisconsin 2,000 Valid Signitures New Hampshire 3,000 Signitures, 1,500 in each Congressional District Ohio 5,000 valid signitures Nevada 5,015 valid signitures Arizona 10,000 valid signitures Missouri 10,000 valid signitures West Virginia 12, 962 valid signitures

Nader has enough widespread support. He'll make the ballot everywhere.

Yeah, I don't think they need Freeper dirty tricks to get on the ballot around the country.

Good news.
Maybe I'll figure out why my vote, anxiety and exultation were lost!
To: TheEaglehasLanded
Interesting, how many states does he think he can get on the ballot in??

I doubt that he will make the ballot in most states or that he will even try. This isn't about winning, it's about Ralph getting one last ego trip while collecting some contributions for spending money.
It is good to know that he can get on the ballot in Florida. I would love it if he can get on as many close states that Gore carried as possible.
To: TheEaglehasLanded
wait a sec... you mean I (or anyone?) can get on the ballot in Florida and Louisiana without ANY signatures???????

He'll make the ballot everywhere.
He didn't do that with the Greens in 2000. I think he was on 47......

From the web site:
In the initial phase of the Nader Campaign the primary focus will be ensuring that Ralph Nader and his vice presidential candidate appear on the ballot throughout the United States. This is a major undertaking requiring the collection of 1.5 million signatures of registered voters in a few months. It also requires satisfying the often-confusing requirements of state election laws, which vary greatly from state to state. We need your help.

I am torn, I tell you, torn.
First I register RAT to vote for Al Sharpton in the primary. Now I get to sign a petition for Ralph Nader.
When can I go back to being my true self?
BTW, these are not "dirty tricks". I believe in my heart of hearts that the RATs should have the widest and most diverse field of candidates to choose from. After all, they claim to be the party of diversity.

Hey, a good news ping. Go Ralph Go. :)

CurlyDave,
I agree. Personally, I'm thinking of getting involved in the Nader campaign as a volunteer down here in Florida. I think it would be easier to help Bush this way than to try and get involved with the Republican Party in Florida, who are so disorganized that they have failed to return any of my e-mails where I offered to work on campaigns. If I go work for Nader, I can become a high ranking campaign staffer in no time, and do the most possible damage to Kerry.

That's what his website says, I don't know, maybe FREEPERS should go register as independents in Florida and Louisiana and see how many votes you can get.
Don't know if Independents favor Kerry or Bush, so it could be a roll of the dice.

Just knowing that Mcauliffe is pissed off about this puts a huge grin on my face :0)

I just checked out the politics1.com page and there seems to be a large number of independent candidates and many third party ones too. Socialists especially.

This is true, Illinois is a done deal, Kerry's your winner here so no point in wasting my time. Just glad he decided to run.
He did have some good points about some conservatives not being happy with Bush on Deficit, Illegal Immigration, Corporate Subsidies, Patriot Act, and Trade Policies.
