I've always suspected them of being liberals and it is confirmed now. They failed to show up and involve themselves in their father's campaign in 2000, he made remarks in books I've read in which he voiced disappointment and frustration at them, they have embraced a Hollyweird/entertainment community that is outright hostile and vicious towards him and continue to live off of being the "President's daughters" to continue to party like they do. It will be interesting to see if they do anything in the upcoming campaign for their father and I don't see how they have been devoted to their father. Only when it suits them.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I was liberal at that age. Many, many otherwise sensible people are. (Some of us grow out of it, thank God.)

I have a couple of step kids who are liberals. It doesn't bother me at all. At that age, many with compassion in their hearts, and open-mindedness in their heads, will gravitate towards liberalism. I did. I know them, and they are "good kids". But I also know this, they are both very smart, and are both working and going to school, and I can see the seeds of conservativism growing..

We're talikng about a couple of girls who are barely in their 20's. It'll take a few years, but one day they'll realize that nothing they can do, short of completely disowning their parents and actively campaigning for their father's political opponents, will ever make the Left "like" them, and even that may not be enough. Then they'll have to make a decision.

No, it's not. I don't know about you, but I saw the twins at occasional key campaign events in 2000. But the Bushes intentionally try to protect their privacy, now and especially back then. And the last word I heard is this year they're both planning on being involved with his re-election campaign.

I'm sure GWB does too- remember in 98 when everyone was excited at GWBs prospects for POTUS, there was a news bit about reluctance because of the family not wanting to get in the limelight.
