If you scrutinize the U.S. labor market numbers from the last two years of economic recovery, you're left with what seems to be a paradox. Since the recession's low point, in November 2001, the number of employed people 16 and older has risen, but the number of jobs on the formal payrolls of employers remains below recessionary levels...

This should come as a shock to nobody. Kids have been having trouble finding summer jobs to earn money for college for years thanks to the illegals.

Native-born workers are being displaced by new illegal immigrants

Entry level jobs are seen by FedGov as "jobs Americans won't do".

I used to consider myself fair and reasonable but the time has come to be neither fair nor reasonable as it relates to these and unwanted foreigners. We do not need an elaborate plan, just a simple one."STOP ALL IMMIGRATION"!!!

"STOP ALL IMMIGRATION?"
I'm with you.
They're wrecking the country.
$7 billion required for new roads caused by immigrant congestion. You won't enjoy paying for it.

Even the 'Sauds' have jumped up & enacted new laws to start protecting CITIZENS jobs....

Sure wish Bush & Co. were doing the same.

(snip) "Under the new regulations, the number of foreigners residing in the kingdom will gradually be brought down to 20 percent of the indigenous Saudi population. More than three million foreigners, mostly Asian, will have to leave the Saudi kingdom by 2013, while the entry of new workers will be halted altogether". — (menareport.com

Just noticed your tagline,great idea.

GWB has been a miserable failure in the illegal immigration department and has been a huge disappointment to me.

I live in the Northeast and when I take the grandchildren to McDonalds or Burger King it's all Spanish, all the time. I can't even imagine what it must be like in the southwest and California.

"STOP ALL IMMIGRATION"!!!

I'm inclined to agree, we need a timeout & an assessment of what kind of country we want in the future & what sort of immigration policy would support that vision.

Won't ever happen, though. I was house hunting this weekend - the majority of the people I bumped into when touring homes were obvious newcomers, heavily accented, wearing traditional garb, etc.

The same scene is repeated in virtually all segments of the economy, I'm sure. There's just too much money being made by the few in a position to benefit to change things.

I'm glad someone else noticed this interesting correlation between traffic congestion and continued, full-throttle immigration.

There's no such a thing as "summer jobs" anymore. Everyone around here hires Hispanic men to do their yard work. I haven't seen a neighborhood kid do that in years. Same with delivering newspapers.

Unfortunately the offspring of illegals will have no trouble getting into college, unlike my kids.

Illegal Mexican aliens only take jobs that American employers don't want young black kids to have! All that on-the-job training that guarantees promotion and the creation of new businesses doesn't go to black Americans. And, Mexican illegals don't recycle their earning in the local economy, they send it home to Mexico.

What astounds me is that the dems don't see it this and demand an end to unlimited Mexican aliens. It does make snse in that, the dems already own the black vote and don't have to do anything to retain it and, their special interest masters, organized labor, now love Mexicans because they can collect dues from them but don't have to support them.

The Republicans seems much more interested in taking care of Presidente Fox and his drug lord masters than protecting the borders.

And hospitals...and schools...and on and on and on.

What we're going to do when the money crunch hits - and hit it will - I do not know.

You all remember when the Mexicans staged that protest and stayed home last year? It was beautiful!!!! The major streets haven't been that clear in years, and there were no lines at the grocery store. Maybe we should encourage them to stay home 7 days a week?

Oh that is a very good point! Why aren't the the black Americans yelling about this? All American kids are being hurt by this idiocy.

Since fast food restaurants HAVE to pay minimum wage, there is no cost saving associated with hiring them versus American teenagers. my guess is the hispanics are better employees than american teens

Now in the unregulated economy, yes, employers hire illegals becasue they can pay them less

Hahaha, I live in the People's Republic of Kalifornistan.

I want to move out of state, but because of the kids, it just isn't possible. We are moving back to a rural area, though. Maybe I can raise goats for all those homesick "guest workers", and make a few buck off of them. Birria for all! That, btw, is bbq'd goat meat.
