So McAufille whines this morning on TODAY about "Kerry's 3600 votes in Congress over his career, and the Republican's are just cherry-picking a few votes."

I guess that would be similar to J. Dahmler's lawyer telling the jury that he'd had over 20,000 meals in his life, and the procecutor is cherry-picking just a few to complain about!

Bush Portrays Kerry As a Waffler

I'm a bit slow . . . but I'm starting to see a pattern here.

When GW or ANY Pubbie states facts about Lurch . . . it's described as "portraying." According to GuruNet, portray means . . . To play the part of: act, do, enact, impersonate, perform, play, play-act, represent.

So we're "play-acting" like Kerry has never found a cause so worthy of supporting that he's not prepared at the drop of a hat to change his vote. His record proves he'll change his vote along with his lifestyle, past, and all historical facts pertaining to the subject on a whim . . . right after sticking his index finger in the air to peg the political winds of the day.

But even when we're supported by facts . . . we're still "portraying."

Did anyone see the word "portray" in the headlines when GW was accused of being AWOL? Or any other modifier that might question the validity of the accusation? Did Terry McAwful qualify his statement in any way? Did he back it up with any facts? Did Michael Moore?

Did the press hold them accountable?

Now we're getting to the good part. Did anyone hold the press accountable? Yes! You did. I did. Other conservatives did . . . that's why the story only went hot and heavy for a month instead of continuing until November like it would have before the advent of the internet.

Never forget these simple facts . . . the Dim-Demmers aren't our enemies. They're just misguided, dishonest, socialist-loving tree-huggers with a terminal case of the teenie-weenie complex. Our enemy is the liberal media who willingly and joyfully distort the facts to meet their own agendas. THEY are the ones with the power. And we must be ever so vigilant.

"Kerry, a senator from Massachusetts, found himself fending off both Bush and his chief rival, fellow Sen. John Edwards..."

Yet,

"Bush tried to shrug off such criticism as election-year posturing."

Kerry successfully fended off Bush and Edwards, yet Bush tried to shrug off criticism.

Sheesh.

Bush recalled terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, signaling his willingness to use the strikes for political gain, which his aides long had promised would not be done.

Scott Lindlaw, AP-DNC, appears to be a swinish little Democrat embed with the Associated Press. His predilictions have been noted before - see my post #25.

Great catch! He is a "wee-bit" partisan, huh? That's the beauty of the internet . . . diligent folks like you can catch the spinmeisters immediately and inform the public of "the truth."

A quick example of how how today is so much different from the days gone by . . . my grandfather didn't believe anything, anything unless Walter Cronkite said it. "The most trusted man in America!" His blind faith was passed on to my father. Now, because of the internet and unconvinced conservatives, Cronkite would be labeled as the Dan Rather of his day . . . just as he was. Cronkite has admitted most folks in the media are liberals . . . but, like most of these idiots, he thinks they can set their partisanship aside and "simply" report the facts without bias. That is such BS. Liberalism is a disease . . . one that has permanently disabled the afflicted into thinking they're the only enlightened species in the Northern Hemisphere and the rest of us are mere pawns to carry out their "all-knowing" edicts.

Now we have the technological avenues available to us to call a spade a spade. It's not coincidenctal that conservatism started to blossom during this period.
