February 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Pentagon has dispatched the elite commando force that hunted down Saddam Hussein to Afghanistan for a new operation aimed at getting Osama bin Laden, officials said yesterday. Military sources confirmed that members of the shadowy Task Force 121, the unit that conducted the high-tech search for Saddam and his henchmen, have recently begun operating in the remote mountainous region along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border where bin Laden and key al Qaeda and Taliban fugitives are believed to be hiding. The Task Force is made up of highly trained Delta and SEAL commandos, as well as CIA paramilitary operators. It operates outside normal military channels.

I think all of you know I do not hit the panic button easily. I think this threat is something to take very seriously. If you take a look at the historical perspective of the patterns of attacks, there are some very serious things coinciding here. The only blip in the pattern was the absence of attacks over Christmas. I firmly believe that is because attacks were stopped.

I've read some very ominous messages today on the jihad forums regarding 3 days and 72 hours. I'm seeing phrases that I've NEVER seen before except in the declassified intercepts preceding 9-11.

This may be absolutely nothing. And if it is something our authorities may certainly be able to stop it.

But I will be keeping my eyes open for anything unusual especially over the next few days.

(Yes, I've made sure the stuff I've found has been passed to the appropriate law enforcement officials.)

I concur with you StillProud. There is definitely some wild stuff out there right now. Lots of Jihad forums raising cain.

Daleel just posted his supposed "final Warning number 4" to the US Administration detailing terms.

Liz: I cant seem to find a copy of Zawahiris speech in its entirity. There are only bits and scraps of it the press deemed newsworthy, and I imagine Daleels references are in that portion.

My guess: Saudi Arabia

Reasons:
They have extensively documented the religious need/justification to do this

They have plotted how to use Saudi refineries as chemical warfare

Followed by: London, then, shortly after, US (giving time for our people to fill the last open spaces in the bunkers and watch the destruction of a city)

In what way could they possibly preemptively strike us? Engineer a blackout followed up with simultaneous hits while we're in the dark? Knock out communications? Think back to the August blackouts which affected Canada and the entire northeast.
