Air Marshals Get Extra Help Policing the Skies
{Sure, take our already spread thin Immigration Agents!}
Tuesday, February 24, 2004
WASHINGTON With limited resources and thousands of flights with which to concern themselves each day, the Department of Homeland Security (search) has taken an unusual step to protect travelers flying the skies.
The government announced Tuesday that it has decided to recruit Secret Service (search) and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (search) officers to share air marshal duties while those agents are already flying as part of their normal course of business.

Hmmppphhh, it is not like the immigration agents are doing their jobs anyway, though, right? INS doesn't care about stopping aliens from crossing the borders or being notified of scores of aliens jam packed in row houses. The Feds finally figured out that all the agents had roomy schedules and some were even free enough to actually do something for their salaries! It would be funny if it weren't so sad...

Air Marshals Get Extra Help Policing the Skies Ex-Dallas PD, Comm Pilot, airline experience as F/A and ticket agent, degree....all that and the idiots never even acknowledge my application. And I put it in immediately after 9/11. Wonder who they hired that was more qualified?
