If caught, Osama will be handed over to the US: Pakistan
Hindustan Times ^ | Februari 24 2004 | Asian News International

Pakistan will hand over the most wanted man on earth Osama Bin Laden to the US if he is caught on its soil, the country's Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri has said.

Stating this here on Tuesday, he said that the amnesty offered by President Musharraf, where foreigners surrendering in Pakistan would not be handed over to any power, would not apply to Osama Bin Laden.

"If somebody had committed a crime against the US that is separate issue," The News quoted him as saying.

However, Kasuri said that Islamabad had neither received any request from the US to provide it bases nor it would provide such facilities to the US Army to launch anti-Osama operation in Pakistani territory.

He said Pakistan had not changed its policy towards terrorists and their deportation to other countries. "If someone has committed crimes against any other country and is caught in an anti-terror operation, our priority is to hand him over to his country of origin. If that country does not ask for repatriation, then the terrorists are handed over to any country putting forward evidence (of their crimes) to us," the minister said.

We're not only close. I'll bet we're practically breathing down his neck. And you can put money on the fact the intel will be really good on this one. I bet we'll even know how many times he goes to the bathroom.

I hope he doesn't bump his head on the police car, or trip down the stairs to the interrogation room. And the cops better put out their cigarettes before the questioning. If there's no ash tray around any soft surface will work.

Maybe that pronouncement is premature. It would be better not to give the locals any reason to hide him.

Think a NYC jury would convict him?

The rat lawyers would want a change of venue... But anywhere in the US, with the possible exception of San Francisco, would likely convict him....

Does anybody know exactly what the evidence is against him personally?

Don't get me wrong. I'm pretty damn sure he was behind 911, but what is the exact evidence that would be introduced in a courtroom?

His "confessions" were vague enough to not count. Do we have proof of money transfers? Testimony from co-conspirators? etc?

What if they try him in LA? Or Massachussetts?

I bet ole Hitlery is dreaming of the good ole days when she defended the Black Panthers. What a culmination of her vile career. Defend Osama Bin Laden!!!! She got the Puerto Rican terrorists out of jail. Just think how many attacks she can level against the United States, and the awful war on terrorism.

"I hope they will not get him alive. If they bring him back alive all the Rats will want to make a hero out of him."

Actually, watching the Rats try that would be one of the best parts. I can't think of another course of action that would discredit the democrat party in a more rapid manner. It would be a replay on a much larger and more vast scale than Michael Dukakis reply to the debate question of would he support the death penalty for the murder and rapist of his wife. (good ole mike said he would hope that he could over come his emotions and stick to his principled opposition to the death penalty)

Oh, No! Let the democrats defend Osaam from a military tribunal and the death penalty. They would have no choice but to try and along that path lies defeat.

I recall a video with OBL discussing how he had calculated the towers falling after the planes hit, taking credit for the entire event. It was televised, don't remember which station, and they were all praising him. Wouldn't that be considered evidence, he confessed on tape to 911.
