Montgomery County Comcast cable customers, who already have seen a slight increase on their January cable bills, will notice more changes in their bills and service as of March 1.
The rate for basic service will drop from $17.47 a month to $14.75, but so will the number of channels, said Comcast spokesman Brian K. Edwards.
Fans of the Emmy-winning cop show "The Shield" and those who spend their evenings in Bill O'Reilly's "No Spin Zone" are in for some bad news: The FX, Fox News, TBS and Gameshow channels will be bundled with the preferred cable package.
Customers who order preferred cable will pay $32.22 a month, up from $29.50, for those channels. Those who subscribe to both preferred and basic will not see any changes, Edwards said.

tgsl, you asked me a few days ago to remind you to call and ask if they're just removing Fox, or are they going to remove all the news channels. It would seem to indicate from this article that they're just going to remove FoxNews, and not the other news channels. If you have time, or if you have time Stonenots, would you mind calling?
If not, no big deal of course. I'd call, but I don't live in that area of Maryland, so I doubt that my complaints would mean anything. Thanks, and sorry again about accusing you of being a troll Stonenots. Hey, after that "welcome" to FR, you should be ready for ANYTHING here now. :)
