[history]
The Arizona prison inmate who orchestrated a 15-day hostage siege claims authorities have reneged on the terms of their negotiations and violated his rights since his surrender, he said in a letter sent to The Arizona Republic.
"I am being denied several rights and privileges," wrote Ricky Wassenaar, one of two convicted felons in a standoff at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Lewis that involved sexual assault and violence against corrections officers.

Wassenaar wrote to the warden. "I truly hope that we might solve these matters before things get out of hand." I'm sure the authorities said the same thing to him at some point during the standoff.
Well, let's judge him on what a model prisoner he is now, and never mind his most recent crimes. </sarcasm>

Gee, they could have just shot him...2 in the chest one in the head...
There are no REAL dteterents to crime anymore...

Open his scrotal sac and fill it with kosher salt and rubbing alcohol.

They only reason that they didn't storm the tower was because there were two hostage takers & one hostage that they were trying to keep alive.

Thank you.
This idiot ought to be on his knees thanking God that he isn't swinging from the end of a rope.

True enough but they could have just marched his sorr butt outside and plugged him as an example...but of course he still has rights...PUKE...
To: cateizgr8
They should have taken these scumbags out to the prison yard when they surrendered and given them a public execution.

I agree!

But as soon as that hostage was released, all bets at the very least should have been off.
They could have been put in the darkest place in the prison and forgotten about, or they could have been "shot accidentally during the confusion".
So much for order and discipline.

That's not public enough. They should take these animals down to the ghettos and swing them in front of the small punks who dream about becoming bad assed dudes.

He claimed negotiators could have ended the standoff in a day or two if they had just allowed him to speak with news reporters.
Ah, the liberal cop-out wherein everything is supposedly the fault of someone else.
