I recall one of my dads rants against some state board or such when I was a kid. Well, dad used the word "niggardly" in his letter. The pencil pushers had a fit. And this was 20 years ago.
Dad, of course, didn't have a racist bone in his body. He just had/has an excellent vocabulary.
Great example! The bureaucrats cannot look past the buzz words... And in your Dad's case they immediately saw racism, but what was actually written meant cheap... BIG, BIG DIFFERENCE!!!
Problem is, try getting the bureaucrats to understand...
