The "soul" remark was eons ago, yet it's your title and main theme. It's repeated three times in the first paragraph. You wrote it; if that is not what you wished to emphasize, why did you over-emphasize it so?

I fell that President Bush went out of his way, and put his credibility on the line to make Putin and Russia friends of ours. He told the American people that he saw Putin’s soul, and we should trust Putin. Then last week Putin betrayed Bush’s trust.

I’m sorry if you don’t agree with the connection. But I hoped that the soul brothers would be able to last more then two years.
