Panel Adds Conditions To Slots Bill

Excerpt:

After several days of intensive back-room negotiations, the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee voted 11 to 2 in favor of Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr.'s plan to legalize 15,500 slot machines and devote about half the proceeds to education.

15,500 slot machines is a major first step. This started out as a much smaller proposal. They had to expand the number of machines so they could expand the corruption here in Maryland. Good old "inclusive" Maryland.

" the Maryland House Speaker is very cool to the slots plan".

The main catalist for this at the moment, which makes me think that even Bush(Maryland House Speaker), dare not say no, is the current debachle in the Baltimore City School System. Lefists are stupid, and Bush is at the top of that pile, however I don't think even he is stupid enough to vote no on this one. In this case NO = Political suicide.
