From the Word of God (KJV):
James 2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

I'd suggest avoiding the Mark Morford piece . . .

"I don't think what he offered was a defense of his father, but an admonishment to Diane Sawyer that she shouldn't tread onto the turf of a father and son. Let's be honest. The left wants the son to denounce his father. No good son would ever do that."
Mel could say: "I don't share my father's views, in that area. That is all I will have to say on that topic. Next question, Diane."

Reading this, I remembered: Hollywood and the Times are always going off about blacklisting!!! Guess it depends whose ox is being gored.

Thank you for your kind reply, Miss Marple (kind, as opposed to the hateful, presumptuous and sanctimonious reply preceding yours.)
I remember, but I also try to disengage from the passions of the moment, and judge a movie like any other movie, that is like a movie. In forty years it will be seen as silly just as the biblical movie epics of 40 years ago are seen as silly today. Some things last, most don't. Written word lasts more often than a picture that leaves nothing to the imagination, as this movie does, according to most reviewers.
To my thinking, if God chose to speak to me through this one, as you seem to suggest, then God must also be choosing to speak to me through all the violent, pornographic movies Hollywood releases each week. I hope that is not is the case - man's free will, etc. The San Francisco Comical of all sources has a couple of interesting, unbiased, I think, reviews of this particular "entertainment vehicle", or "product", which you can see on sfgate.com.

"Can't wait to get to be presumably senile just so i can tell a few folks (in-laws) what i have always thought about 'em...it'll be ok cause i'm just a crazy old man. yee haw!!!"LOL! Why wait? It is so much fun! That was always my fantasy as well! But you see, I just couldn't wait. So I am blaming it on midlife crisis. Although I am a mom of 5 and grandma of 1.5, I really think that my kids have driven me to the point that I have an extremely low tolerance for Bravo-Sierra and I tend to blurt things out without "filtering" them. For this reason (along with many more, LOL)I try to make one visit to my MIL per year. This is a gift to my dear husband, who does much less squirming at his folks house without me there. LOL! Take care and God bless!

The new Holocaust revisionists deny that the Slavs were targetted, and that 8 million non combatants died at Nazi hands.

I have heard that most people who previewed the movie said they don't think they could see it a second time. I'll find out Saturday.

Last week in a radio interview the elder Mr. Gibson
Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that subject interview was held over a year ago, prior to any showing of the film and that he was ambushed by the radio station that did the interview under false pretenses......

diane overstepped when she asked about his father and got smartly put in her place. Family is family - not many in the public eye "get" that anymore.

The Slavs were not targetted for extermination, JUST tertiation. I believe that the Nazis wanted 1/3 killed, 1/3 expelled, and 1/3 enslaved.
This would have been a horrendous crime against humanity, but not genocide.
Few Slavic people were killed for racial reasons, although one could argue that German allocation of food that lead to much starvation was a form of targeted killing.
As for your numbers about 12-13 million people were killed of which ~6 million were Jews, ~300,00 where Gypsies, over 1 million other non-Slavs (political, religioes, effeminate homosexuals...) annd the remaining 4 to 5 million were Slavic people.
The reason why some JEws (foolishly) downplay this is because anti-Semitic revisionists play with the numbers to try to minimize Jewish deaths.
Frankly, if you want to talk about mass-murder of Slavs, Stalin wins by a factor of 10.

Poor babies...they'll never forgive him for making a success out of this movie. We will be going to see it sometime next week.
My oldest (age 15) grandson is going this Saturday with his Church Group.

I think in this case, the protesting Jews are practicing narcissists. The film is NOT about them. Everything does NOT have to be about them. I have championed Israel for years but they are definitely turning me off by their overreaction to this film.
To: LisaMalia
I'm very embarrassed when I see comments like this. It's horrifying.
I think they are threatened because if Mel starts spreading Christianity around, less people might pay to see these jokers' crap movies.

There's some more of the good old liberal "tolerance" for ya!
To: Petronski
No, he should do GK Chesterton's "Ballad of the White Horse", aka the story of Alfred the Great and the Danes. He was made for that story. Christianity all but snuffed out by an invading plague of cynical pagan vikings burning and pillaging everything they can find, down to a handful of men, comes roaring back in one last battle - at the end of which, the viking commander is so impressed at the spirit behind that kind of courage, he converts. Actually happened, look it up.
