'US to be within range of Chinese, Iranian, Korean missiles soon'
Hindustan Times ^ | Februari 26 2004 | Press Trust of India

The US, which is within the range of only Russian intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) until now, will soon come under Chinese, North Korean and Iranian ICBMs as well, a senior defence official has said.

While Russia's nuclear weapons stockpiles continue to decline, the number of weapons in China, India, Pakistan and North Korea will grow, Vice Admiral Loell E, Jacoby, Director, Defence Intelligence Agency, told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on Tuesday.

"In the next ten years," he said, "we expect other countries to join Russia, China and France as major exporters of cruise missiles. India, in partnership with Russia, will begin production of the PJ-10, an anti-ship and land attack cruise missile, this year and may export the system."

Russia, China and North Korea, said Admiral Jacoby, support various WMD and missile programmes, especially in the Middle East and South Asia.

Russian entities support missile and civil nuclear programmes in China, Iran and India, and to a lesser degree Syria. Some of these nuclear technologies could have weapons applications.

Chinese companies remain involved with nuclear and missile programmes in Pakistan and Iran. In some cases, entities from Russia and China are involved without the knowledge of their governments, he said.

North Korea is the world's leading supplier of missiles and related technologies. Admiral Jacoby said the DIA believed North Korea has nuclear warheads from plutonium produced prior to the 1994 Agreed Framework.

B.S. This is happening with a wink and a nod from those very same "uninformed" governments.

We're in range of ChiCOm ICBMs--20-25 of them--right now.

"Thanks Bill" Exactly! Where is our inquiring media on such an important issue??- Oh that 's right- they are busy with Jocko, J Lo, Janet Jackson, National Gurad records from 30 years ago, and Martha Stewart!

Yep, we've been in range of Chinese nuclear-capable ICBMs since the early REAGAN adminstration.

I notice there are a lot of rather clueless factual error-ridden articles from the Indian press that get posted here.

>>THANKS BILL
..and LORAL, and Hughes and .<<

You know...this is SO farked.

I did some computer Service in Loral in Akron Ohio in 92 and 93. I had to be "pre-scheduled" or the guard wouldn't let me drive in. Then I had to show Driver's license at the receptionist. Then, walking through the place, they literally had to shut doors before I was allowed to walk past them.

The whole time the great stainmaker was selling off the tech to China and me, mr homegrown USA guy was treated like an invader when no sum of money would have EVER tempted me to sell out my country. It's very "funny" when I think back on it.
