Sure vouchers for colleges. Dems have been in favor of that for years. They are called Pell Grants. But on the secondary school level, it is an evil plot of religious wackos. Kerry probably meant to include veterans. Why not?

The legal elite has it all wired John. Resistance is futile.

I wonder why people don't discuss his cancer.

I think that is a totally valid concern. If the people who vote for him knew if his cancer had returned or had not really been in remission at all it would change their mind. Wait till after the convention to raise that issue.

I wonder how many people "out there" actually know he has/had it.

I didn't. When did he have it, and how early was it caught? If it was caught early, it is a non issue. Even if caught later, I think this cancer takes a long time to kill. Kerry could last for 8 years at least. :)

Yes, but that might be a grand illusion. I might be very ill.

Remember Paul Tsongas in 1992? He had had cancer but was supposedly healthy. If he had been elected in 1992 he would have not lived out his first term. (He died 1-18-97.) Can't trust those Massachusetts liberals to be honest about their health (John F. Kennedy, Tsongas, Kerry).

Here is a poll from my local Philly news

As Sen. John Kerry continues to rack up primary wins, he's looking more and more likely to be the Democrats nominee to face President George W. Bush In November. Do you think Kerry can beat Bush?
Choice Votes Percentage of 19383 Votes
Yes 7982 41%
No 10252 53%
Not sure yet 1149 6%
Thanks for participating in our survey.

I'm not sure how serious it was .. not a whole lot was reported on it

Just that he had it .. he went in the hospital, was operated on and had a very quick recovery time

His wife has made a couple comments that she had wished he took more time off to rest and recover

Kerry was operated on in Feb 2003. His father died of prostate cancer. Nothing has been said about what stage Kerry's cancer was in. I don't think a person is considered cured until at least 5 years after remission.

Yeah, but Pell Grants are need-based and not merit-based. That and you have to be making next to nothing to even receive one.
