[Bimbo enriches gigolo. How far back do you have to go to find someone who actually worked to make Kerry's money?] Don't waste the gas money.........such a person does not exist..........unless you count the useful idiots from Massachusetts that voted for "Senator Lurch", and the rest of us that support him with our taxes..........

I wonder how she would howl if Walmart stopped carrying Heinz products or started charging for shelf space?
To: wagglebee
All of what you said is so sad, but true. You've nailed it exactly.
Teraaaazaaa' comments regarding Walmart would be reported as a slam to common folks too if a Republican had uttered them.

Another thing that drives me crazy, and I hope I don't offend anyone here, is WAL-MART," Mrs. Kerry told a group of Democratic women activists at a luncheon in St. Paul last Tuesday. "They destroy communities." Yeah, well Ketchup destroys a good steak. And Heinz products are bought and sold by the truckload by Wal Mart.
I think maybe we should all write Wal Mart and suggest to the Big Wigs at Wal Mart that maybe they ought to consider dropping all the Heinz family of foods from their shelves. I'm sure the Hunt family and the Vlasic family would appreciate the extra business.

I would hate to be the Sales Rep. from Heinz that has to make the next sales call to Wal Mart Office in Bentonville.

You're right .. 22 here in USA, and 57 (?) offshore (not sure of the count).
And .. have you heard that the Clinton library is outsourcing for their cabinets; good grief - don't we have any good cabinet makers here in the USA. Hehehehe! Just another shining example of hypocrisy in action.

I doubt if any of those Democrat activist women have ever set foot in a Wal-Mart! Oh, I'm sure they all go there to shoplift.

It was not even her family's ketchup, it was her husband's, a Republican senator. I'm guessing that she didn't know that John Heinz was a republican until his death, and the reading of the will.

Are there any Heitz products for sale in Wal-Mart or Sams Club?
I would bet that there are plenty. I would bet, in fact, that Wal-Mart is their largest customer.

Same situation here...Wal-Mart closed it's store in a strip mall to build a new SuperCenter.
But in our community, no one whined. Actually, that growth, and more around us, indicated a good market and more stores and business came in and opened up shops. Eight years ago in most of the areas of this growth, there were still dirt roads leading nowhere.
Now there are hundreds of businesses large and small and thousands more people working in a high wage environment - even for what is considered "yucky" work like waiting tables or working at Sonic.

For Teresa Heinz to criticize Wal-Mart and its impact on the community is like a millionaire saying they know what its like to live in poverty.
Ms. Heinz, who has lived a life of luxury, eaten her meals from a silver spoon, and lived on a cloud with a silver lining, has no idea of the many contributions Wal-Mart has made to the communities it serves.
Wal-Mart provides jobs, consumer goods at reasonable prices and gives hope to people who strive for a better quality of life.
Every year, the company donates thousands of dollars to civic and community organizations, offers college scholarships to the children of employees, and pays a fair wage compared to other businesses in the area.
Ms. Heinz should go spend her time in some of the the Wal-Mart stores and take a look at the areas they serve and realize the positive contribution they make to the community.
By the way -- I don't own any Wal-Mart stock
