The President has to fight for his base. I believe this election will be decided on the basis of cultural issues. No I don't want to stay home in November. President Bush must do more to give me and millions of disaffected conservatives a reason to go out and vote for him. I believe he's done that by endorsing the age-old and timeless definition of marriage and the family under assault from our Cultural Left. He needs to recess appoint more conservative judges to send the Democrats a message and to support a bill to curb the jurisdiction of glue-sniffing liberal judges who want to take away our rights and freedoms. Those are the issues John F. Kerry and the Democrats fear. A second Bush term will happen once the President and Karl Rove work to rally the grass-roots to his side up until the end of the year.

Conservatives are depressed and frustrated by months of incessant Bush bashing by RAT dwarves and their media pals with no reply from Bush. We're venting. Come Nov. 8 or whatever the date, we'll go to the polls and pull the right lever. Staying home would amount to cutting our own throat.

he was in the 6:00P PM to 9:00 PM time slot here.

He still is. Right now he's on that new FM talk radio station, somewhere like 104.1 or 104.7...

Yesterday was listening to a report on NPR, morning news I think, and they were talking about the North Korea negotiations.

What really caught my ear was a line about the Koreans not wanting to make too much progress until after the election because they thought a Democrat, if elected, might give them more of what they wanted than that hard line George Bush would.

I couldn't believe they reported that on NPR.

Article from Michael Reagan ...

Conservatives Contemplate Electoral Hari-kiri

Excerpt:

In recent weeks my conservative listeners have been talking about the same things Kerry and Edwards have been talking about. They’re talking about jobs even though the unemployment rate is only 5.6 percent. They’re talking about outsourcing, they’re talking about amnesty for illegal aliens – these are the things that people who listen to talk radio are concerned about.

Their reaction to the President’s handling of these issues should be a warning sign for the President. Conservatives are calling my show and telling me that they are not going to vote for George Bush because of his stand on amnesty or outsourcing, for example. And this simply amazes me. I ask them if they aren’t going to vote to re-elect George Bush are they going to vote for the Democrat? And the answer is inevitably, "NO! I’m not going to vote for anybody. I’m going to stay home on Election Day."

My reply is if you stay home and George Bush doesn’t win re-election and instead Kerry or whoever the Democrat candidate is gets elected, do you think things are going to get really better? And their answer is, "Well, no, but I want to take a stand."

They should remember Custer. He too took a stand. It was his last.

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.

No problem. On a related subject, the GOP will not get much help from Nader this time. Ralphie got 2.73% in 2000, but if he gets 0.5% this time I'll be amazed.

Good morning and soon (when I calm down) it'll be "good nite" again --- the homosexual marriage articles have my blood boiling. Now a little mayor in NY is planning to marry some homosexuals today.

Great article! The "Unappeasables." That's exactly what these folks are.

Heck, I don't even agree 100% with myself half the time; I sure don't expect to agree 100% with the President. But I know that 90% or even less is a whole lot better than 0%, which is my level of agreement with any Dem.

Then how about "The KY Conservatives", for those who will bend over and take anything?

Stay at home, elect a Democrat ...

I would urge Conservatives to vote for Bush. I can't imagine any Conservative being happy with a Kerry in the White House. Can you ?

THE CUSTER CONSERVATIVES: "Don't make me think about the logical repercussions of allowing a pro-abortion, pro-tax, pro-liberal Supreme Court leftist whacko to the Presidency... I'm principled, dammit!"

How about the "Custer Conservative Talk Show Hosts"? Some of these guys, (I won't say which ones), are firing up the wing nuts extremists on the right endlessly with irrelevant issues, and frequently dissing Bush in sneaky ways. Not helping GWB's poll numbers at all.

They keep leaving out the impact of the social engineering judges and the 2-3 Supreme Court Justices the next president will apoint. Which will have just as big an impact on our lives as the War on Terror.
