Michael Jackson will never make it to 76,ever. He will disappear under the knife of plastic surgery, one little piece at a time. Either that, or somebody will kill him in prison.

My business partner knew him fairly well back then too and claimed he doted on his wife and children as well. He's actually one of the few rock stars who believes in monogamy, if his former bandmate Bill Wyman is correct.

Someone told me the other night that when questioned as to the inspiration for his character in "Pirates of the Carribean," Johnny Depp replied, "Keith Richards."
But of course!
I'm an old Richards fan. Never understood that harmonic tuning bizness, but I sure got that it sounded different, and it sounded great. While you guys correctly point to Exile and some of the earlier stuff as the apex of the Stones, don't set aside the thrill of a classic Richards - Ronnie Wood jam. Watching them live is great -- they trade riffs and roles and just enjoy themselves. On disk, they mesh like no others into that Stones rhythm: bass, guitars and ole Charlie banging the sticks.
Where Jagger is the variable, Richards makes any style the Stones. It don't matter the song or the album. Richards gets it right every time.
Fun thread, Dan.
