"If Tripper/Tipper? or whatever her name --- was hot blooded, why did she marry a cold dead fish like algore?:

Well they did produce some kids, so they must've banged a bit.

"I am totally supportive of nursing in public. I feel like if your baby is hungry and screaming, you gotta do what you gotta do."

"I can remember one time I was nursing in Central Park and I was fantasizing that I would get arrested and be thrown in jail for nursing. I imagined that I would then lead a massive picket line of nursing mothers. I get that from my Mom - she nursed us and is very certain and strong about doing things in a natural way."

"I think that that we have to do a lot more as a society to accommodate working mothers. Breast feeding in itself is a real challenge. I had this vision of breast feeding lounges or something."

She is very deep.

why did she marry a cold dead fish like algore?:

Political arrangement, just like the Clintons. Like I said before, algore's gay.

Well, "Blue_Ridge_Mtn_Geek" has come out in defense of Gore's daughter. So I guess he must be correct, she was 'only' 18 then, so I guess it's all ok now.

I'm not saying we should muzzle independent voices or rule out third parties.

Actually, that is exactly what this brainiac is saying.

Karenna Gore Schiff is the Director of Community Affairs for the Association to Benefit Children. She is also a freelance writer, a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a John Whitehead Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association, a trustee of First Star (which promotes best practices in child welfare) and a member of the Board of Directors of Sanctuary for Families (which provides shelter and legal and clinical services to victims of domestic violence).

Karenna previously worked as an attorney at Simpson, Thacher and Bartlett. Before that, she served on the Gore 2000 campaign as a surrogate, spokesperson, and Chair of the National Youth Outreach effort. She continues to volunteer for political campaigns and advocate for issues such as child welfare, women's rights, and environmental protection. Her other work experience includes positions on the editorial staffs of Slate magazine in Redmond, Washington and El Pais newspaper in Madrid, Spain.

Karenna was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1973. She graduated from Harvard University in 1995 and Columbia Law School in 2000. She and her husband, Andrew Schiff have two children.

"Ms. Gore Schiff is director of community affairs for the Association to Benefit Children"

In other words, she's the "It Takes A Village" idiot.

Speaking of another "wonderful family"...

ROBERT F. Kennedy's 19-year-old grandson avoided being a labeled a sex offender this week when a Massachusetts judge downgraded a charge of indecent exposure to disorderly conduct after the Brown University undergrad was caught urinating on a sidewalk. Robert F. Kennedy III, son of New York environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was arrested early Monday after he was caught relieving himself on a sidewalk in Worcester, Mass. Kennedy was busted standing next to his mother's car. Zachary Brown, 19, who was in the car at the time, was arrested for possession of marijuana after cops found a small bag of pot under his seat.

The Land of 5-plus-2-equals-7:

We hear the New York Society for Ethical Culture is the place to be tonight as Harold Ickes, Ellen Malcolm, and Steve Rosenthal (or as we know them, the High Priests of the Land of 5-plus-2-equals-7) join a Page 6-ready host committee that includes Laurie & Larry David, Michael Douglas, Nora Ephron, Michael Moore, and Karenna Gore Schiff, for a "presentation by America Coming Together and The Media Fund, two groups working to raise money and spend it to defeat George Bush and elect progressive candidates up and down the ticket."

We wonder if Al Franken will get the chance to tackle a heckler at this event, too?!

CULTURE OF IMPUNITY

TALK MAGAZINE has reported that Karenna Schiff, the oldest daughter and closest adviser of Al Gore, used pot, drank heavily and, when drunk, once encouraged a friend to drive her father's car without a license . . . British papers have previously reported that Al Gore's son smoked marijuana with several friends in the Bishop's Garden of the National Cathedral. While Gore's friends were reportedly expelled from St. Alban's School as a result of the incident, young Gore was allowed to stay. Our information is that his parents switched Gore to Sidwell Friends after being angered by teachers who made it clear they did not approve of the double standard involved.

While who smokes what is not important, it does matter mightily when presidents and presidential candidates or children of politicians use drugs and nothing happens while hundreds of thousands of unpowerful Americans lose their jobs, get kicked out of schools, or go to prison for the same thing. Nothing so well illustrate the contempt of America's elite have for the very laws they make others follow.

I don't care for any of the names on that list, but I would smile if Larry David was on our side of the aisle. Though I find 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' too much at times - mostly for the fact that the duplicitous, scheming, antagonistic Larry David that appears on the show is, from what I understand, pretty close to the real Larry David.

Still, he can be funny, and such an unabashedly self absorbed guy, you would think, would find something in the conservative message to respond to. Maybe someday...

Every time her father is shown on TV, I am more thankful our country chose the right man. I shudder to think where we would be at this time had he been elected.

I know the jobs were leaving this country when he and his boss were in charge and anyone who wanted to quote facts instead of rhetoric would too if they did some investigating.

Children just have a hard time finding fault with their parents, but the issue is not Gore. It is John Kerry and his inability to lead this country in a time of war. I certainly would not want him to be the commander-in-chief of my child.

February 2, 2004 Al Gore's son sentenced to substance abuse program[ Full text] ROCKVILLE, Maryland (AP) -- The 21-year-old son of former Vice President Al Gore must complete substance abuse counseling as part of a pretrial diversion program to settle a marijuana possession charge.

The agreement approved by a judge Monday calls for the misdemeanor charge to be dropped after a year if Albert Gore III submits to urine testing, community service and counseling, and steers clear of criminal convictions.

The younger Gore, who attends Harvard University, had no comment after the brief hearing. He was accompanied by his mother, Tipper Gore, who did not comment other than saying the issue was a "private matter." Gore did not have to enter a plea and his case was placed on the inactive docket.

The son of the former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee was arrested December 19, 2003, in Bethesda after an officer stopped him for driving without having his headlights on. The officer smelled marijuana and noticed the windows of the car were open despite frigid temperatures.

A search of the car turned up a partial marijuana cigarette, a cigarette box containing suspected marijuana and a crushed soda can that smelled like marijuana.

Gore was charged with marijuana possession, as were the two passengers in the car, Yann V. Kumin, 21, and Marc G. Hordon, 22, both of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Hordon and Kumin will undergo the same treatment program as Gore, prosecutor Douglas Gansler said.

He said no favoritism was shown Gore because of his family's political stature.

"Regardless of who the defendant is ... we treat them in the exact same way," Gansler said.

The younger Gore had been stopped by police twice before in recent years. He was ticketed by military police in September 2002 outside Fort Myer in suburban Virginia for driving under the influence.

North Carolina police cited Gore in the summer of 2000 for driving 97 mph in a 55 mph zone. Charges were dropped but he had to pay a $125 ticket and his driving privileges were suspended in the state. [End

I'm not going to condemn a 19-year-old over doing something harmless and stupid (though a fine is appropriate). A "sex offender" label for urination is quite inappropriate and I think it unlikely to pass an 8th Amendment test. Being a teenager with a bag of pot is a far more forgivable than being clueless and corrupt yet wanting to control the reins of government.

She's a nice girl. It's too bad she's so left-wing and stupid. Common sense stupid, I mean. She has plenty of book smarts. I don't feel much of a need to bash her, especially not for being loyal to her father. She's very bitter that she's not First Daughter and living the high life all over the world like Chelsea Clinton. She's much better looking than Chelsea. It isn't right!

They're all cut from the same cloth and not one mother's son or daughter of them have a strong U.S. as their driving focus. In fact, I would say it's just the opposite.
