Stern is not a stupid man .. he knew/knows what he was doing. He let his head get to big

I'll tune into the station that carries Stern about once a year to see if he's still on, and each time I do, there is Stern talking about the same ol' thing, his little schwang, some lesbian he would love to "bang," and how he's gonna kick everybody else's ass.

He is so condesendingly boring, the novelty wore off at least 10 years ago.

His show is for the immature, which really has nothing to do with age.

Unfortunately for GW Bush, Stern has a multitude of listeners.
He should have been fined and warned by Clear Channel instead of pulling the plug. Stern will be back and when he does Bush will get hosed every day, all day. Maybe that is what certain Media types want? Kicking the nest of nasty hornets just before the election was a brilliant move on the libs behalf. I am betting Bush had little to do with it. Parents are fed up. The Nemo movies are pulling in big money. MTV is on many parents TV block. There will be a great many children without MTV and the garbage influence. Maybe the pendulum is taking a huge swing back?

He's way down in Boston, his audience is about a third of what it was when he first started airing on BCN about ten years ago.

I did listen to him for a while when he first came on here, but he always talked about and did the same things over and over and over and so on, I quickly became board.

All I know is that we had a great FM station here in Philly in the 1980s, and Stern came along and literally ridiculed all the morning DJ's, calling them names like pussy and stuff, while declaring he was gonna kick ass.

He did fart jokes and little meat jokes, and it apparently struck a chord with male rock n rollers.

Stern eventually won the rating war, but it made me sick how he had to berate everyone else to do it -- and I have refused to listen to him ever since.

I love rock n roll, but I wouldn't pay a dirty dish rag to see or hear anything from Stern.

My 24-year old son used to tell me that Stern was funny, but even he can't stand the same old crap anymore.

OK, how many times can he have stupid strippers or Penthouse Ho's on asking the SAME questions.

He used to be funny.

My nieces and nephews used to listen to him

I tried about 7 or 8 years ago and couldn't figure what his show was about or waht the allure was

I tuned in about 3 times and didn't last molre than 15 minutes each time

Must be the generation gap

But from the age group that listens to that distored amp over volumed noise they call music I guess that is where we are at as a nation

Stern was briefly on an FM station in Minneapolis when we lived there. I think he lasted 8 or 9 months.
Guess those stern Norwegians just couldn't stand him.

See it's all about Howard. When 9-11 happened, Howard was VERY pro-Bush. Said Bush was what this country needs. Now that he has gotten himself into trouble, it's all Bush's fault, the country and it's leadership needs in a time of war be damned. How selfish.

This is not an attack on the poster, rather a comment on the group as a whole.

Howard Stern is number one in every market he's entered. The Arbitron numbers show that, and that's been consistent for the past 15 years. That sounds a lot to me like the people have spoken, and they like what they're hearing. To be perfectly clear here the American people didn't get him fired - as a matter of fact, based solely on the numbers that all radio stations care about, Arbitron, the American people love him.

90% of you have never listened to a word he's said yet are glad he got "fired." He didn't get fired. He was removed from six channels where his syndicated show aired. He was removed because of a comment that a caller made. Quit jerking your knees.

I listen to him from time to time and exercise the right to change the channel when I feel like it, and often I do because sometimes it's just too much, but I would never, ever dare to tell someone that they can't listen to him, or rejoice in the news that six stations pulled his voice.

Oh, big surprise. Stern is known for his hatred of anything Christian. According to him, children are better off being raised as Scientologists rather than as Christians.
