What strikes me is how mainstream media has apparently agreed to refer to this wall as a "fence", or a "barrier". These words do not have the negative associations which the word "wall" has. Yet it is a wall, a huge wall, and it is significant that the media won't refer to it as such.

Yet it is a wall, a huge wall, and it is significant that the media won't refer to it as such. Perhaps - I'm more cynical and can only believe that the media either hasn't grasped the full significance or is holding it back for when it feels the need to incite folks.
After all, peace would not make on-going headlines the way all the carnage does.
