On election day 2000, a nice shiny van that the Rats leased picked up my grandmother and a few of her friends. "The people in the van were very nice", she told me. They gave her a sandwich, bag of chips and a soda. They explained to her that GWB was a menace and that Gore would do more for seniors. All she had to do was after going into the voting booth, pick the line that said Gore and vote. Which for the price of a sandwich and a lie she did.

Only one thing went wrong. The line they told her to choose wasn't Al Gore. It was Pat Buchanan. Al Gores own people could not understand the concept of a butterfly ballot and told the seniors to vote for Buchanan.

I love when cheaters get cheated.

I still laugh when I think that Al 'Earth in the Lurch' Gore lost votes to someone from the Green party.

Here is an interesting thread about Naomi Wolf. What a nutcase she and her supporters on the left are. She is making a major big deal about some dirty old man making a pass at her twenty years ago.

I don't know what really happened to Wolf twenty years ago, but it seems she was as woefully lacking in common sense then as she is now. To wit -- it's probably not a very good idea for a college student to invite a professor over for a candlelight dinner for two, unless she's trying to seduce him.

Actually the commies/socialists in Florida cost Algore the state. Even without the colorblind Green (Red) Party. Add up the votes from the Worker's World Party, Socialist Party, and Socialist Worker's Party and he would have won.

Monica Moorehead WW 1,805 votes
David McReynolds Soc 618 votes
James Harris SWP 558 votes

Total commie votes that could have gone to Albert Gore Junior: 2981

Add in the 97,421 votes Ralphie Boy got and the tilt to the extreme left the Democrats have been engaging in since 1968 and this country is dangerously close to going communist (even if it is called by the liberal code word "progressive").

Third Party candidates are only "appreciated" when they siphon votes from the Republican Party.

Yes Perot botched the results of 2 elections. Bill Clinton never received 50% of the vote (so much for his "mandate"). George W. Bush received more total votes than Bill Clinton did in either of his elections.

The "popular vote" from 2000 is a hollow victory for the Dims. Albert Gore Junior's lead was 0.52% (half of 1 percent). Well within the margin of error. Since there was no national recount (and a number of states signed off on the vote tallies before all of the absentee ballots came in) as well as admitted fraud (college students voting for Gore at home and school, college kids going to the polls several times to vote for Gore) and the usual dead voters, that 0.52% marginal win means nothing. We will never know who won the popular vote with any certainty. We can only accept the official numbers which were signed off on across the country.

I would say that there is no reason to ever sign off on the numbers early just because a state is not in contention necessitating a recount. BS statistics like the 2000 Popular Vote give evidence why every vote needs to be counted in every state.
