My sister-in-law the other week decided to goad me into a discussion on "gay marriage". She and my stepfather-in-law decided to gang up on me. I tried not to engage them, as it could be detrimental to family harmony.

It was fine until she started pushing and finally I just decided to let her have it with both barrels. She was jumping on how Gore won and Bush had been put in office by the Supreme Court. (Couldn't stay on a topic... Must keep pushing the conservative until he squashes.) So, finally, I came out swinging and she couldn't possibly keep logical footing. Every argument she tossed out there I slapped down because I have facts and logic on my side. She used nothing but emotion. Finally, I looked at her and said "If your side can get enough votes to get it through a legislature instead of forcing on us the will of the few over the will of the many, then I'll back you on it. I will still think it's wrong, but at that point, I will back down. But you don't have the votes. You can't get the votes, and you'll never be able to brainwash enough people to get the votes, no matter HOW many times you show 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.'" She looked at me and made sure she was quiet enough that nobody else in the house heard her. "I hope you and everyone like you die before you get to infect my son with your bigotry." I asked her how it felt to live in such a small place without a heart. Then I turned and walked away. There's no reasoning with her or other liberals.

When you are able to speak to this person again, maybe you can ask her why is it that liberals ALWAYS assume that opinions contrary to their own are bigoted. They have no idea of their own arrogance and intolerance, and it is time we start pointing it out.

Conservatives have kept quiet too long, in the interest of civility, and in so doing, we have allowed the left to have a distorted view of their own superiority of viewpoint. The battle for the future of America is too important this year to follow that old dictum of not talking about politics, religion or money.

Boy...what she spoke quietly to you so no one could hear I would have repeated extremely LOUDLY so every one in the house could hear..."WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WANT ME AND EVERY ONE LIKE ME TO DIE BECAUSE YOU DISAGREE WITH MY VIEWS?"

I'd then storm out of the house telling them I'd never set foot in there again.

The Democrats are a culture of evil and death, that is the bottom line with them. I shudder to think what they would do to good folk if they could get away with it!
