[history]
Anna Greggains said she remembers filling out an absentee ballot in last year's mayoral election, and records from the San Francisco Department of Elections show that her husband, Arthur, did the same -- which would be unremarkable, except that Mr. Greggains died in May at the age of 83.

Second article today about certified dead people showing up to vote. The other story was out of Texas.
I can't see in either story what the party affiliation of the dead person is. Journalism at its best.

I firmly believe in equal protection under the law, thus dead people should have just as much right to vote as anyone else. This bigotry against the dead must stop.

If they were Republicans, it would be front and center on the title. "Republican Dead Voting".

Ok, dead people are voting. It is likely that many absentee ballots were cast by people who normally don't vote, and yes they do keep track of that stat as the media knew that the governator rarely voted.
That is if they know you are registered and don't vote, they will likely vote in your place and a few dead people who were still registered voters also "voted".
My point is this could be the tip of the iceberg.

The graveyard vote is easy enough to find, but what about people who never actually voted at all but their name shows up as having voted absentee?
I say get rid of absentee voting altogether and have elections on Saturdays.
