No, because the firearms industry is still at the potential mercy of one liberal jury, or one liberal bench of judges that could find a gun manufacturer liable for tens of millions of dollars in damages for a gun crime committed with a legally manufactured and sold weapon.

Feinstein will try to get her AWB ban extension passed again, even if the House has stated it wants no part of it. The trick for Feinstein would be to find a pending Bill the Republicans are introducing that would be "germane" to the AWB.

I was actually more worried about Ted Kennedy's "cop killer bullet" amdt. than the AWB, since it would have started us down the road of outlawing rifle ammunition. Of course, the House would never pass it.

Neither party got what they wanted in these debates, and the AWB just took another step towards Sunsetting.

No just get ready to listen to complaints about how Bush has turned his back on gun owners, on the Constitution, on blah, blah, blah. His enemies are never satisfied.
