Maybe your public water doesn't need filtering, but MINE does. No one in LA would drink water out of the tap although it does vary by location.

Coke filters the water many times taking all of the impurities out ... then adds minerals. Having said that I don't like Dasani. I usually by Arrowhead Water by the case.

The water is so bad in South Florida.... PEUWWWWWWW. I used to live in N.C. and Maine... when I came to Florida I could NOT even stand the smell of this Florida water, much less drink it.

We buy filtered water from a machine at Publix Supermarket... 25 cents a gallon... just fine with me. We even cook with it.

Still... I sure miss the nice water in Western N.C.

You better check with your local Arrowhead supplier then; they take Owens Valley diverted L.A. water, filter it and add the same basic salts as Dasani has.

Had a big lawsuit years back about it and nothing came of it.
