NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :-(
I am a huge fan of the classic Godzilla. They've supposedly killed him off twice already, so maybe this won't be the last one.

All the big stars say they're retiring...
and then they come back for the specials, reunion tours, etc.
Godzilla's no different. The big phony.
To: yankeedame
I think this is just a PR campaign. Guess what: Godzilla ISN'T REAL! They can keep on making Godzilla movies as long as there is demand for them! The article even says that they will continue to do so if there is further demand.
Do you own stock in the Japanese studio?

It's too bad actually. Just think what a world power Japan would have been if Godzilla hadn't regularly kicked the snot out of the islands. Now that he's gone we're all doomed.

NOOOOOO!!!!
An enjoyable Saturday is to kick back watching Godzilla movies all day!
At least they will be in reruns for the next century or so, and that's good even if I do have all of them memorized.

I believe they made two versions of Godzilla vs. King Kong, one to show in the U.S. (where Kong wins) and another to show in Japan (where homeboy Godzilla wins).

And this spring-summer will be the re-release of the undubbed, un-Raymond Burred original:
The Original!
I love the way Godzilla screams. I love the way his back scales light up. The love the way he jumps up and down when he whips-a**!
I just love him.

I think that there could be a new movie after this one.
Godzilla VS the Gecco from Geico.
Godzilla destroys the world and the Gecco from Geico rebuilds the world with insurance money.
I'm hoping that Godzilla wins.
I hate that damned Gecco.
My all time favorite Godzilla movie though was Godzilla VS. Bambi.
A classic.

The original included Raymond Burr's finest screen moments.
It was, fortunately, in his younger days. Later in his career it would have been easy to confuse him with the monster. </ fat joke>

I'll say one thing: That Godzilla sure could act.

From the fine folks of Blue Oyster Cult...
With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down
Helpless people on a subway train
Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them
He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town
Oh no, they say he's got to go
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Oh no, there goes Tokyo
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Rinji news o moshiagemasu!
Rinji news o moshiagemasu!
Godzilla ga Ginza hoomen e mukatte imasu!
Daishkyu hinan shite kudasai!
Daishkyu hinan shite kudasai!
Oh no, they say he's got to go
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Oh no, there goes Tokyo
Go go Godzilla, yeah
History shows again and again
