Got a patch for it or will my regular virus scan stop it.
I got the message this morning and it looked legit enough that a dumb computer guy like me opened it. I've seen no effect yet. Got any advice?

The people at Earthlink must be on their toes or something
I havent received a single email with anything since the Melissa virus or whatever it was. Norton quarantined that one. Maybe just lucky though.

Somebody has been working overtime writing all these viruses lately..Agreed. My Norton LiveUpdate has been working overtime this week downloading new virus definitions.

Had a variant on Bagle H yesterday -- it was sent as a password protected zip file. Since the anti virus server couldn't open up the zip file it made it through.
Granted the end user had to put in the password supplied in the email's body, but I wouldn't put that past some people.

"Got a patch for it or will my regular virus scan stop it."
Good question. I just tried to manually update my antivirus (didn't want to wait for the auto update) and I was told that my software was already up-to-date but to check back often. So I think (I hope) we will be protected.

Somebody has been working overtime writing all these viruses lately It's spammers, attempting to create zombie e-mail servers in order to evade spam filtering.
It is long past time for the Feds to nail a few of these slime under the computer-cracking laws, and for Congress to explicitly clarify that evasion of spam filtering is in and of itself a form of computer cracking.

I primarily use yahoo and hotmail accounts, and this morning, I had a bunch of "odd" e-mail in my inbox and junk mail folder. The sender was "Mail delivery substation" and the subject line was "message undeliverable". It says there is an attachment and the size is 4kbs. I just delete them.
Has anyone else got these? I had nearly 20 of them, and I didn't send an e-mail yesterday, and certainly not a mass mail out.
