How many of these survivors have offered to help out the wives and children of dead Marines and Grunts whose only compensation was 10 grand and a knock on the door from by one of their fellow warriors?

>"It makes me sick," said Colleen Kelly, who lost her brother Bill Kelly Jr., in the attacks and leads a victims families group called Peaceful Tomorrows. "Would you ever go to someone's grave site and use that as an instrument of politics? That truly is what Ground Zero represents to me."<

Gee, where was Colleen when Clinton was milking the Oklahoma bombing site for all it was worth?

I thought soldiers' families who died in wartime got 250,000 grand, but I could be wrong -- anybody know what the answer is? Anyhow, your point is well-taken -- these victims have been compensated a heck of a lot more than military families ever have been, yet they're still so bitter. And they're bitter at the wrong people, too -- nobody could blame them if they were bitter at Osama bin Laden, but instead, they blame Bush!

Ok, so there are a few people who are offended. That's to be expected. However, the following statement by the former Mayor of New York should be thrown right back in the media's lap:

New York, NY - Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani issued the following statement:

"September 11th is the defining event of our times. This was a shared experience that the American people have all been through together. The war that the terrorists began on September 11th continues today.

"President Bush has provided the steady, consistent and principled leadership to bring our country through the worst attack in our history. His leadership on that day is central to his record, and his continued leadership is critical to our ultimate success against world terrorism."

The 250,000 is a life insurance policy paid for by soldiers. The 12 grand is the compensation from the government. It used to be 6 pre Bush.

COmpared to the millions the government is giving to the family of 9/11 victims it is piss.

Thanks for the clarification -- I thought the 250,000 was standard compensation from the government, and I didn't realize it was a soldier-paid life insurance policy. And you're right that it is nothing compared to what the 9/11 victims got.

Let me guess. The people who are "sickened" by Bush's ads are democrats?

By the end of this election, these freak Kerry people are going to be sorry, because we will all be so furious and disgusted, even the most disenchanted conservative will not only vote for Bush, but will be volunteering like never before.

W's getting a lot of bang for his buck with that ad!

(many) new yorkers and liberals won't like the ad, but they wouldn't have voted for bush anyway. conservatives will think the ads are good.
but the real issue is: will the ad get noncommitted swing voters to vote for bush, or will it turn them off? that is the only real criterion for a political ad, in my mind.
hopefully karl rove pre-tested this ad on swing voters.

"...John Kerry demanded the ads be pulled.

Kerry can exploit the Viet Nam war to his hearts content about things that likely didn't ever happen and yet sweep the strike on America under the rug? 9/11 was Perl Harbor all over again - America was attacked, not just those that lost someone that day - America was attacked each and every one of us was attacked. The media is going to side with the left regardless of what Bush or anyone else says about his ads.

Anyone listening to Rush?

He's connected the dots with all the relatives of 9/11 victims appearing on the talk shows last night. He played clips of what each was saying. Low and behold most are word for word repeats of each other.

In fact, Katie Couric and a few elected dems have used specific catch phrases in their criticism of the President.

They have been coached by the DNC. There is no doubt when you hear the montage of their rants.
