But Kerry told us the threat of terrorism was exaggerated. How can this be?

It is - I thought from the President's rhetoric that there would be 36 attempts, not 35. The President is obviously playing our our fears.

Ketchup: The zero successful attacks since 9/11 are way too many. The President hasn't done enough. I mean he's exaggerated and done too much. I have been very clear about this. Instead of foiling these attacks, we need more first-responders to pick up the bodies and treat the wounded.

What sounds like opportunistic waffling is really "Nuance". Why with "Nuance" you can be on both sides of any issue. "Nuance" fights accountability. "Nuance" may be a little older, a little grayer, but it still knows how to fight. Why do Republicans that never had "Nuance" insist on attacking Democrats who did?

The shoe bomber, the DC snipers, the Bali bombing, the UN bombing in Iraq, all show us that the terrorists are still attempting to commit homicide.

Just as we did not hear all of the near misses in the Cold War (although some stories are starting to come to light), we may never hear of all the victories in the War on Terror.

I have no doubt in my mind that the threat is genuine.
