Kerry's Vietnam War Ads Go Missing

SEATTLE (AP) - Controversial internet ads sponsored by John Kerry's campaign for the US presidency have abruptly gone missing from their host web sites. The ads feature footage and audio of American helicopters in Vietnam as a testament to Kerry's war credentials and aptitude to manage the nation's defenses in a time of international conflict, while playing the audio of an undated anti-war speech given by Kerry in the 1970s.

Republican spokesman Ed Connely says that Kerry's campaign has "hushed [the ads] up." The ads, which debuted over a year ago during the opening stump days of the Democratic primaries, have inexplicably vanished from most of the host sites that once offered them up for public download.

Said Connely, "It's funny that these ads vanish right after Democrats come out loud against Bush's 9/11 ads. I wasn't alive back then, but I'm willing to bet Roosevelt campaigned on World War II and Pearl Harbor."

Messages left with both the Kerry and Bush campaigns were not returned.

Rush played the audio of one of them today so it will probably be up at his site.

I hope someone downloaded these ads so we can see Kerry not using Vietnam for political gain.

This might be the original link. I tried to play it this morning but I had firewall problems.

If you know a page, you can always go to the Wayback Machine , plug in the url in question, and see if it was cached.

How dare he use the death and suffering of the Vietnam War to further his political ambition.

If the Republicn National Committee did not record the ads and the debates, they are not too smart.

There is enough material in kerry's record to last 3 years.

The truth will beat kerry.

Has anyone found the Kerry ads with it? I'm wondering how well the rats have suceeded in getting rid of them.

If you want to see how well the rats can obliverate things when they want to, try finding the picture of Jimmy Carter fighting off that killer rabbit.

I gave up on that a LONG time ago. You'll find references to it and articles with the picture that doesn't load, but the picture is GONE!
