Not that I'm going to vote for a Democrat, I'm not, but I read through this whole thing, and doubted that any of it was true.

As a conservative, I'm certainly no Kerry fan, but this account proves nothing but that he's a US Senator. I bet half the Senate would be at least this rude.
For some reason the Senate is filled with pompous Arsses. Perhaps why few Senators ever become President. I live in DC have worked on the Hill as an intern and its just true.
One time I was at an event, and a Senator who always seems pretty stand up and down-to-earth on TV was there, Alan Simpson so I walked up to him to introduce myself. He acted as if I were invisible and he was deaf, totally ignoring me as I spoke--clearly I wasn't important enough to talk to. This is typical for a Senator.
I don't find Kerry's behavior unusual or surprising at all--for many Senators both sides of the eisle.

It is astonishing that he is a US Senator.
Between him and Ted Kennedy, the voters of Massachusetts must not think very highly of themselves, that the best they think they deserve to be represented by is the likes of them.

The Orange Co Register ran an article today on the legality of running Bubba Klinton for Kerry's V.P.????

Kerry sounds like he really knows how to treat 'the little people' who elected him
He has a personality that seems like a cross between Zsa Zsa Gabor and Thurston Howell III

The Boston Globe's bio series on Kerry includes a story recounted by a college friend who claims to have been flying with Kerry one day in the SF Bay area when daredevil Kerry attempted to fly under the Golden Gate Bridge.
According to the storyteller, as courageous Kerry flew the plane closer and closer to the bridge, he hit some birds, and only then did he decide not to go through with the stunt.
I'm no expert, but would anyone really try this? There is so much that is wrong with this story, but apparently we are supposed to be impressed with Kerry's daring.
By the way, when did Kerry learn to fly helicopters? (remember he "flew" his helicopter around Iowa) Just because you can pilot a cessna, doesn't mean you can fly a helicopter - completely different ballgame.

""Astonishing that he is a US Senator?" Are you kidding me? Have you taken a look at the quality of our Illustrious Senators lately? There are only a handful of them that have any redeeming qualities at all! There probably isn't a bigger collection of "Scallywags" anywhere in Washington except maybe the press and media there.

Between him and Ted Kennedy, the voters of Massachusetts must not think very highly of themselves, that the best they think they deserve to be represented by is the likes of them. Massachusetts politics are driven by the dirtiest political machine... and has been that way since the days of the other JFK's "papa Joe".
The average right-thinking tax-paying citizen exists in some patriotic numbers there, but remains locked out of the system by organized crime, union strong-arms, liberal ne'er-do-wells, and a tight network of corrupt local officials.
The average wage earner has no respect for Ted, or John "F'n" Kerry... in fact Kerry is the butt of most jokes I heard the cabbie repeat... as we drove past the house on Beacon Hill!
We can only hope that some true leadership rises within the state, shines a bright light into some of these dark corners and scatters a few of thse 'Rats.
End Of Rant

This is probably a pretty accurate story. In my 1967-69 tour of duty as Adm. Tom Moorer's Personal Aide (when Moorer was CNO) I was astounded at the number of incredibly egocentric bums I met on Capitol Hill.
Especially offensive were Clairborne Pell and Ted Kennedy, but SECDEF Robert McNamara took top billing, because of the grave damege he did.
As an aside, one afternoon in 1968 after leaving Speaker McCormick's office following a nasty series of exchanges between Moorer and McCormick's Chief of Staff (a slimeball by the name of Scheib) relative to carrier construction funding, I asked the Admiral how he could take that kind of verbal abuse.
Moorer told me not to "sweat it"; That Scheib would be in "the slammer" before the term was up. And, he was right -- for influence peddling and graft.
Cheers. And, have a great weekend. DKP

Mr. Howell was much more fun than Mrs. Kerry.
Can you imagine Theresa calling John "lovey dovey" and throwing money so he can go shopping?
The Howells were great fun. The Kerrys are dismal.

And do not forget Barney "My Boy Lollypop" Frank. Massachusetts is a pathetic undemocratic burnt out cinder of the proud birthplace of liberty. Proves that freedom is fragile and easily lost to the forces of darkness.
For THAT matter look at my vermin Senators: Hillary and Schumer.
