Military service aside, I consider this a good thing. Government shrinkage is good. Hopefully, most will run their own businesses. Entrepreneurship contributes much more to the common good than most government career service jobs can.

Well, I guess it is a good thing, sort of. What this could most likely mean is that people with principles and ethics will avoid government work, and the dishonest and lazy will fill the void if government continues its current hiring binge. As if the dishonest and lazy werent over-represented already...JFK
