I'm sure they feel he is stable. Otherwise they would wait for the surgery, I would think. I hope he IS stable. If it's emergency surgery, then I'm really concerned. I'm praying it's uneventful, and that the surgery solves the pancreas problem...

The ABC Radio report that just aired made it sound like this was done because it's a good time, his gall bladder had "cooled down". Guess that's a technical term :) But it sounds as though things are going the way the docs would like.
