Pierre, South Dakota-AP -- The governor of South Dakota may be setting the stage for a challenge of Roe versus Wade.
Governor Mike Rounds said today he supports a bill to ban most abortions in his state. But he is seeking technical corrections in a measure approved by legislators before allowing it to become law.
He wants to make sure restrictions on abortions aren't eased while courts consider the law.
The measure approved last week allows abortions in cases where a woman's health could be substantially and irreversibly harmed by complications of pregnancy, or where the woman's life is in danger.
But the bill contains no exception for women who become pregnant as a result of rape or incest.

He's right t0 protect the restrictions which are present in the SD law...because the this bill will probably be struck down.

The Dems are busy now with the "SD can't afford to throw away the money to defend this bill while our schools are crumbling" mantra. SD Dems will do whatever they can to avoid coming right out for abortion. I don't envy Rounds. I support the bill, but it does seem like it will cost this little state a lot to try to defend it.

So what? It's well worth it.
And besides, this is an extra tool to use against Dashole.
