It's almost as if Time Magazine if on Kerry's side in this election. >chuckle< Naah. A professional news organisation would never take sides. It's all in your head. >snicker<

From the TIME article:
When informed of Gardners accusations Kerry, campaigning in Texas, simply stated they werent true. He deserves respect because he served our country well, Kerry says of Gardner. I left the country thinking well of Gardner and even tried to find him several times. But his stories are made up. Its sad, but thats the way it goes in war, and especially in politics. And then he added: But dont ask me. I know the guys, my other crewmates, and theyll set the record straight. This ending paragraph from the Time article speaks volumes regarding both Kerry and Brinkley. Kerry's faux reaction: "he deserves respect because he served our country well... I even trie to find him several times... but his stories are made up... It's sad."
And the way Brinkley presents this it is clear: he's doing whatever he can to protect both Kerry and his worthless tripe book which has just been published. Some "historian". Two losers -- and I'm not referring to Gardner.

why would they make this story public? This was a preemptive strike, designed to destroy Gardner's credibility -- to be followed up with attempts to destroy Gardner personally, as in getting him the sack.

Thanks. Don't know how I missed both of those threads. They have been added to my collection. Living in a sea of Democratic relatives, FR helps me to keep my sanity.

Gardner came forward. One can only wonder why he was fired? Could it be freedom of speech is only good for Democrats?
I have voted for the best man regardless of party in every election. Gardner is the only credible man on the patrol boat period so far.
Please post the company's name, so we can boycott it. I want to know why he was fired? This is sad. Freedom of speech seems good for Democratic candidate Kerry and Democrats, and; it seems punishable by anyone else. America was once an inclusive country. Now, the one black man on the patrol boat is fired?
What is going on here? It stinks like Kerry's lack of medical records for his purple hearts.
Please post an address where to send funds to help Gardner out?

Unfortunately, I only know he was a building inspector.
Any other freepers out there that know more?
I'll try to post this everytime I see something about Kerry so we can find out more and how we can help.
