I have no doubt that if Republicans had behaved as the Democrats, that Democrat leaders would be openly calling the Republicans traitors and unamerican and demanding they quit criticizing the President. And no doubt, like Clinton did in 1995, they would try to connect the violent extremists with the critics.

I think that is why the Democrats are overly defensive about "they are attacking our patriotism" anytime you point out how wrong they are... they are projecting what they would do.

The irony is that the Democrats have no care nor need for patriotism, they really see conservatives and Bush as the bigger threat than anything else out there. A threat to their power.

Yes, I fear they do protest too much. They don't care about being traitors, just being criticized for being traitors.
