When asked by the Sun who told him Mr. Kerry was no-show at Kansas City, Mr. Brinkley replied, Senator Kerry. Mr. Brinkley also stated that Mr. Kerry did not have a personal copy of the resignation letter either.Is it just me, or does it seem that the suckup book Brinkley wrote was 95% composed of what Kerry wrote or said himself? Sounds more like an autobiography than anything else. This book seeems to have been written the same way his Silver Star is alleged to have been awarded: by himself!

The most recent book that focuses on Mr. Kerrys relations with his fellow Vietnam veterans, Douglas Brinkleys Tour of Duty, reports the events as follows: In a November 10 letter housed at the VVAW papers in Madison,Wisconsin, Kerry quit, politely noting he had been proud to serve in the national organization. His reason was straightforward: personality conflicts and differences in political philosophy. In two days,VVAW was meeting in Kansas City and he would be a noshow.
=================================================
If he quit before the meeting, why did he quit? Did he know that Camil was going to be pushing for assassination and he didn't want to be part of it? So what. If he knew about the plan, he had an obligation to report Camil for conspiracy to murder elected officials. No matter when he resigned, don't tell me Kerry didn't know. He proudly has Camil involved in his Florida campaign.
