Very far sighted reply.Within a few years all US Forces will be withdrawn from "Old Europe" with the execption of the Ramstein facility.

New forward bases will be established in Poland, Hungary,Romania,Latvia,Georgia,Cyprus,Iraq, Kuwait and even Libiya.

Nato has served its purpose so far and with the inclusion of the 15 new members and a few well written rule changes
can maintain its military dominance in central europe.

Nato and SHAPE will move to the east where the Russian bear is only hibernating.
