Not many conservative Republicans are fond of Specter. I predict that the Penna results will send a huge message to the RINO's in Washington......

This constitutes confirmation of a trend in my book.
Is the Scot campaigning anywhere?
I know Toomey has been out and about.
I have heard hardly ANY radio ads for either side in the last few weeks.

"Not many conservative Republicans are fond of Specter."
And they are the ones who will actually be voting in the primaries, ;)

Not many conservative Republicans are fond of SpecterI get slammed for being an Arnold supporting Republican and I can't stand crazy Arlen. I would definitely support Toomey if I were in PA. Specter is a joke.

I think Specter is counting on those RINO Philly suburbs to help him out in the primary. The same RINOs that helped elected Rendell as governor by switching their party registration to Democrat to vote for him over Casey Jr. in the '02 Dem gubernatorial primary.
Specter is counting on them to change their registration back to Republican to help him vs. Toomey.

"I have heard hardly ANY radio ads for either side in the last few weeks." Arlen ran so many for so long thatyou just may not be hearing them anymore. They're there, just not registering in your mind.

I've only lived in the Commonwealth for seven years.
It's taken me a while.
Now I know with crystal clarity that Toomey is the real deal.
My guess is without Philadelpia and parts of Harrisburg this Spechter clown would have never represented Pennsylvania.
To: jwalsh07
Wasn't GWB hanging around with Spechter today in PA?
To: OneTimeLurker
I'm sure he was, the White House is backing Specter to my chagrin.
Did you know he is next in line to Chair the Judiciary Committee and that Hatch, no great loss, is term limited?
Ay, carumba!

What's the deal with Cyril Wecht?
Pennslyvania mysteries abound.
I didn't talk to myself when I lived in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
To: smoothsailing
Wecht is almost as big a mystery as why PA has a LIBERAL EXTREMIST like Specter as a GOP Senator!

One effect that these primaries could have is make Areln Sphincter vote more on the GOP side since he knows his base is angry.
