I don't mean to disparage anyone, but to ignore the fact that minorities are heavily tilted toward the Democrats, and that new immigrants, typically poorer, will vote Democrat is just naive. Demographics are going to kill conservatism in America.

The only hope is that as minorities and the children of immigrants grow wealthier and enjoy prosperity they will tilt back toward the right.

I think we all must keep in mind how things can change in 46 years- society has change in expected and unexcepted ways since 1958, it will do so between today and 2050. This may not come to pass, or the whole idea of race could be far less meaningless in 46 years.

This projection also is based on the idea of Hispanic as a "race" instead of as an ethnicity. A measure strictly by race means that whites will remain in the majority in 2050.

This very conversation is why Blacks and Latinos vote Dumbocrat. There are tons of blacks and Latinos who go to church, work hard, hate taxes and our culturally conservative. but when they hear and/or see people talking about white purity, etc. they have good reason to turn about and pull that idiot switch. If we concentrated on the notion that more successful people vote Republican and tried to make sure that more and more people become successful we wouldn't have to worry about this but alas we can't because we each have differing agendas.
