Didn't Europe only lag behind because Islam ransacked them and destroyed libraries and forced Europe to devote almost all of their resources in defending against the Islamic madness?

Islam didn't advance that much in medieval times, they just knocked everybody else down and stole their work. The only reason the great works had to be retranslated from Islam is because Islam had burned the Greek libraries.

The Islamic contribution to science has been vastly overrated. Most of the math they stole from the Hindus. A lot of the science they stole from the Romans and Greeks. As for literature, I can only think of 2 Islamic contributions and one of them is being used to justify terrorism, murder and oppression. The other was made into a nice Disney movie with Robin Williams as a genie.
