Of course it was pretty neat to learn how to call the others on the party line.

And only 4 numbers were required.......

Actually the average smoker outlives the average rump ranger by quite a bit.

You said it, metesky. Let's look at the videotape:

My Nana: Died last November at the age of 102. Smoked for 85 (yes, 85) years.

My Cousin: Died in 1994 at the age of 27. Nice guy, very sweet. He didn't smoke, but guess what he DID do?

102 or 27?

I know which one I'll take.

Regards,

That's cool, but it's wrong that people would have to illegally by cigarettes. P.C. gone Amok!

You're right of course, but when life hands you lemons is it better to suck sour or to make lemonade?

Problem is. BOTH parties are hopelessly statist. The Repubs are just as enamored of this Nanny Control Philosophy as the Democrats. A pox on them both.

"Repeat violators could be arrested and spend up to 60 days in jail and face a $500 fine."

Making more criminals out of otherwise law abiding citizens. A society of criminals is much easier to control, a criminal can't own firearms to protect themselves!

"Also, at what distance is a smoker considered to be "in front of" a child. If its a large park, and a smoker is 1,000 yards away but within easy visual range, does that count? I'm not a smoker, but this just seems silly..."

How about the residents/property owners that live across the street from the park? Now we can restrict them from smoking on their own private property. How about people driving by in cars?

It is a moronic notion on the part of this city council that we are incapable of making our own choices in life.

It's just a good excuse for taking control of our lives..... oh yes, then there is the money.

I'd love to see the press reports when an old Grammy is put in jail for smoking outside and refusing to pay a fine.

I am working on going to jail in my old age, con's gets treated much much better than people in old folks homes..... I am no dummy.
