Gosh I wish I could be a deep thinker about American elections, like Escobar is.
On November 14 [2002?], the Brazilian journalist Pepe Escobar wrote in the Hong Kong based Asian Times that "Seven nuclear heads have already been positioned in seven of America's major cities and they are ready to be detonated." The report caused quite a lot of controversy and the Asian Times promptly removed it from their website stating that it was a "hoax". If US troops are fighting in a foreign war, and nuclear bombs are detonated in the homeland, it could have devastating affects in their morale knowing that their families back home could be already dead.
