exactly, this sentence contradicts itself - "When Dick Cheney launched a stinging personal attack on John Kerry's presidential credentials this week, ...." one presidential credentials ain't exactly personal. Personal is more like saying "John Kerry is a Jerk because the treats people very badly" - which by the way is also true!!
