Another point look at the position of the sign in the persons hands....it doesnt look quite right. Even with no wind.... a sign that size can't be held by the fingertips.Agreed, I've held signs and the physics aren't right - unless he has small poles going down the edge of the back of the sign - but how would those be held in place? I've put a pole down the middle of a sign with a bunch of tape, but the tape would show with two
Also, look at the lighting of the sign in both pics - dead even contrast on both - one brighter, one grayish - but no uneveness.
The original photographer provided his orig. high res camera shots.
Here's one of the links via a thread on LGF. You can read more about it there. The original photographer has authenticated the picture as his orginial, unshopped pic, and provided two other shots from his camera taken in sequence that day. He's rather amazed at the determination of some folks to call the sign a photoshopped fake.
http://members.myactv.net/~lgf/zombie.html The pics are huge, so be warned about that. Scroll from top to bottom to view all three, and in particular take note of the third. It has it's own full-size link here:
http://www.extragigs.biz/clients/zombie/protest3.jpg He did not take the "second" pic at the top of the thread here (the one that parcially shows the face of the sign - holder as he marches with a crowd rather unconcerned about his sign. That pic was taken by someone else, and it appeared on a PROTEST site among other's documenting the san fran activities.
Two photographers, at least four pics, orig res on three, multiple angles.
The guy was really carrying the sign.
