Condi Smacks Clarke on Fox'N Friends
Fox News Channel
Posted on 03/22/2004 4:12:01 AM PST by ReleaseTheHounds
Condi Rice was just interviewed on Fox'N Friends and she did a slam-dunk on Richard Clarke.
She properly noted that he had been Counter-Terrorism Czar for a number of years in the Clinton Administration and had plenty of opportunity to develop strategies to confront Al Qaeda which he (and that Administration) never pursued.
She acknowledged that Clarke had a number of "ideas" about confronting and combatting terrorism -- many of which the Bush Administration adopted. But they were a set of "ideas" not a comprehensive strategy which President Bush was looking for.
Typical Condi performance: flawless.

At least Imus did point out the only reason we're hearing from Clarke is because he's pushing his new book! Time to make money on 9/11 victims. Disgusting. Wonder if he'll get an endorsement from the 9/11 families for peace aka the Kerry campaign?

Yes, Mansoor is ticked and ready to clean a clock.
The fury in his eyes was indeed telling, can't wait to see JFKerry incorporated to respond.

I want to see her entire schedule today involved in press appearances. Her op-ed was fab, her Fox interview was fab, she now needs to be seen everywhere....including Rush's radio program and BET.

Mansoor Ijaz on Fox was livid! I've never seen the man this angry.

Good point. I heard that and Andrea was a bit befuddled when Imus told her that Clarke was just trying to sell his crappy book.

I missed the Fox interview. I expect the CNN interview to be slanted to the left. Waaaay left.

Yes, he sure did. Andrea was practically giddy over Clarke's performance last night.
Imus said the ony reason he is coming out with this stuff now is because he has a book to sell. Kind of stopped Andrea in her tracks.
So much for a free press, when they are shills for the 'rats.
To: Alas Babylon!
Monsoor IJAZ comes out setting the record straight and is taking no prisoners.
He said he would take Clarke on side by side or across from him.
To: ReleaseTheHounds
BTT. This guy really chaps my hide--he's just an obvious lying sack of dog droppings, I'm repulsed by the Media coverage.

Richard Clark went to Sandy Burger and blocked the effort to get Osama Bin Laden, AT EVERY STEP. Monsoor will challenge him on any television show or testify anywhere he is asked. Monsoor said that Clark is completely out of control and he will see that Clark is held accountable for the lies he is telling.

I haven't heard whether Monsoor Ijaz is scheduled to testify before the 9/11 commission. If not, why not. Anybody hear?
To: Just mythoughts
The fury in his eyes was indeed telling, It certainly was! I'm not sure I've ever seen such a genuine expression of anger in an interview.
He said he was hesitant to speak on the issue, and then let 'er rip.
Wow - I'd hate to ever get on his bad side!

What I cannot understand, with ex-Clinton types talking to this commission, President Bush giving the commission an hour of his time, the hue and cry for CRice to go before the commission - no one is asking how come Louis Freeh is not being asked or forced to go before this commission! How come this guys continues to get a free pass?

Thank you this was the rest of the story.
Clarke was exposed as key to why OBL was not taken out years ago. So we could say he allowed 9/11 to happen, now we know why President Bush did not take his advice.
Maybe Monsoor Ijaz had a chat with Condi and the President....
