If memory serves, at least three of the individuals hanged for the Lincoln assassination conspiracy took no "active" part in the assassination attempts on Lincoln and Seward.

send this back to the top....thanks.

Discussing the murder of senators is a mere historical footnote?

we accept Mr. Kerrys presence in Kansas City as a historical footnote. And we accept Mr. Kerry's presence in Kansas City as an 'Historical Headnote.'
To: jrlc
Which senators?Senators like John Stennis, Strom Thurmond, and John Tower were his targets, according to Mr. Camil.

How about using it as a historical headstone on the grave for his candidacy?

Excellent post, but how is the Hubbard issue damaging to Kerry?
It seems Kerry tried to get Hubbard kicked out after he was found to be a liar. I'm no fan of Kerry's but I don't see the Hubbard thing undermining his credibility, just the opposite.
On the other hand pressuring Musgrave to lie is serious.

Absolutely. This makes Kerry look guilty more than simply admitting he was there. It's the coverup that gets 'em everytime.
To: 11th Earl of Mar
Not that it changes the concept significantly, but he actually missed two days of "work".

Wrong wreck - that was the '97 crash in Detroit - but the article does mention other Embraer 120 crashes, including the 1991 ASA plane that went in just off the runway at Glynco Jetport in Brunswick GA and killed John Tower and his daughter. My parents live just a few miles north of the airport. The Embraer had prop problems for years. I never would fly on them -

I most certainly did not mean to make that implication from my post!
To: Hon
Mr. Musgrave said he received three Purple Hearts in Vietnam. After the third Purple Heart for wounds by three 7.62 rounds, one to the jaw and two to the left chest, Mr. Musgrave refused the standard release from further service in the combat zone offered Marines with three Purple Hearts and tried to return to his unit, he said.WOW!!!
Just compare this with that scumbag Kerry, who I am convinced rolled the dice and went to Vietnam SOLELY for the purpose of giving his future political career some "viability". Kerry is little more than another, more liberal, Clinton.
When asked whom he is supporting in the presidential election, Mr. Musgrave replied, I am undecided. But I am sure not voting for some guy who called me a liar.
Vote for George W. Bush, Mr. Musgrave.

Kerry should have known Hubbard was a phony from the start. He certainly knew after April 18, 1971, when callers to Meet The Press helped expose him. Not long after that, IIRC, Hubbard and Kerry (or maybe just Kerry) DEFENDED Hubbard's phony record on the Today Show.
This was all MONTHS before the November meeting. No, to me it looks like Hubbard's bogus record was just an excuse for Kerry brought up to try to grab power or resign.
