Each home has a place in the family's life, with its own history and mission...

Each house has its own "mission"... who are they kidding? It's not bad enough that John Kerry claims he was "annointed" to be President, that he (like most liberals) has a virtually complete absence of any humility... now we hear that his real estate even has its own "mission." Okay, now I understand... they are not just a rich family living off the wealth of her deceased husband and maintaining tony private playgrounds in every high rent district in America (and probably some overseas too), instead they are a family whose homes each have their own "mission." What next? The social conscience of the Kerry pets?

"and tax us to death too."

This is actually why I think so many wealthy people embrace Marxist ideals. Unlike their claims of compassion for wealth redistribution (taxes), a higher tax rate only allows the haves to have more. It is their objection to competition...and thus their fear of sharing wealth and power with others. A higher tax rate stifles competition, as social mobility is hampered, guaranteeing them a spot at the top, without challenge...whether in business or politics. The tax-code, as with everything liberal, is all about power and control...and higher tax rates guarantee them all of the above.

Didn't he also sell a European mansion in France or Tuscany just before announcing his candidacy?

Kerry's mansion sale
"Sen. John Kerry sold his foreign mansion in Italy just weeks before he announced a run for the White House in January of 2003," Matt Drudge reports at his Web site (www.drudgereport.com).

"Actor George Clooney purchased the stunning 18th-century mansion located in the Italian village of Laglio (50 miles north of Milan) from Kerry and his wife for $7,800,000. Clooney first learned about the listing from Brad Pitt, who had been holidaying with his wife, Jennifer Aniston, at Versace's compound nearby," Mr. Drudge said.

"While Kerry and his wife's homes in the United States are worth at least $23,733,705, it is not clear if the candidate currently owns property overseas.

"The campaign has repeatedly denied requests for any information on foreign assets held by Kerry."

Damn, what a fine piece of writing! All true. It is also interesting to note that they can afford the $750.00 an hour tax attorneys on Wall St and Pine St.

They didn't mention the big mansion in Italy that he recently sold. Wonder what he owns in France?

Thanks.

Exactly...as they continue to shaft the little guy they claim to care so much about. If they are such compassionate people, then why the need to setup these various tax shelters and tax-exempt trusts and foundations? And they still have nerve to ask those who got tax breaks to contribute to the DNC. They are the biggest hypocrites on the planet.

Not bad. If I was that rich I'd have several expensive homes too. I don't begrudge him the homes & just don't think he should call himself a common man of the people. Now Dennis Kucinish is another story.

And this is why Howard Brush Dean III, child of privilege, Birkenstock doc, and beneficiary of some $3.8 million in trust funds, equities and financial instruments, got knocked off so early in the primaries. He just started out with WAY too small a bankroll.

If you can't run with the big dogs, you can't get in the game.
